Wall Street Survivor Fantasy Trading

Reviewer: Alan Posner

Fantasy trading makes available to traders and investors a solution to try investing or trading the equity market without using actual cash.  Wall Street Survivor is an exciting website for creating a fantasy trading portfolio to consider untested strategies and explore new schemes. Traders can sort and filter ideas with a free stock screener from Zacks.com as well as trading advice from founder Mark Brookshire.  Traders can review what leading bloggers from MSN Money are trading as well as Wall Street Survivor’s own stock picking wizards.  In addition there are fantasy trading games with prizes and a trading community forum where other players share fantasy trading ideas.  If you are new to trading and interested in trying Wall Street Survivor for educational purposes, they have introductory instructional material as well.  Fantasy trading is entertaining and if you are smart and fortunate it can make you a little money too.

Trading stocks on the NYSE or NASDAQ and their corresponding options is accessible for fantasy traders  Once you create a free account you will be brought to the “dashboard” where you can see a summary of your account, review the weekly and monthly leaderboards, see what contests are currently running, or execute a trade. A hundred thousand dollars of fantasy money is provided to every trader when they open a basic membership.  A basic membership permits the trader to select their stocks or options and try to increase their fantasy portfolio.  Loyalty points can also be accumulated by making trades, commenting in the forums, and other activities that complement the Wall Street Survivor experience for everyone.  If you try the free basic membership and believe fantasy trading is for you, there are several of account upgrades for you to choose from to augment your Wall Street Survivor experience.

Live with live bid/ask pricing is available to traders who upgrade their account from "Basic" to "Real Time".  The real-time membership also provides a 25% loyalty points bonus, up to five fantasy trading portfolios instead of just one, Zacks buy/sell recommendations, SmartStops protective exits, and advanced technical analysis.  A promotion to an Elite membership extends to traders all of these capabilities plus “Survivor Pro Picks” which is a portfolio of the top ten holdings of the top “survivors” and the "Survivor Spy" which entitles you to view the trades of any person on Wall Street Survivor live.  The Premier package includes this entire package and a 50% loyalty points bonus. Loyalty points may be exchanged for gift cards and other prizes so in case you aren't winning you can.

Bottom Line:  If fantasy trading a portfolio of stocks and options is exciting to you Wall Street Survivor is a great choice.
